|Taste of Slovakia Session 1|
Event Type: CLASS|
Age Group(s): Adult
Start Time: 6:00 PM
End Time: 8:30 PM
Slovak cuisine is very similar to that of other central European countries like Austria, Hungary and the Czech Republic. In this class, Kamila Dandu will use family recipes to create a Slovak menu. Potatoes with sauerkraut, mushrooms, root vegetables and pork play an important role. Our menu will start with a typical Slovak platter (smoked sausages and pickles) and Kamila’s favorite “Feferόnkovy” salad (pickled peppers with smoked cheese). The main dish will be stuffed meat rolls called “Beef Birds” and Slovak meatloaf made of veal, beef and pork, which will be served with potatoes flavored with parsley and carmalized onion. Cucumber salad is a required accompaniment. As we Slovaks say, “Dobrύ Chut’ – Bon Appétit!”
Registration Ends: 2/12/2013 at 12:00 AM
