West Ryder has a successful vlog series under the pseudonym Sam Green. He has 1,135,789 subscribers, but there is one in particular that he's crazy about: Harper Knight. But when West finds out that Harper is actually his best friend Cat, he suddenly isn't sure if he can love Cat the way he loved Harper. His relationship with Cat starts to wobble somewhere in between best friend and girl friend. If that wasn't enough, West and his father's relationship has hit rock bottom after his father killed his mother drunk driving 6 months ago. West must accept that the deepest love comes with the biggest risk for heartbreak.

I am not a frequent visitor of romance books like this one, but I really enjoyed this book. It was absolutely realistic and yet wonderfully optimistic. The relationships were believable and the characters were lovable.

I cried a few times while reading. It was heartbreaking to see West struggling with so much pain and loss. I totally understood why he was so hesitant, but there were still times I wanted to scream at him and tell him to just accept his feelings already!!

His relationship with his father was sad and I was slightly disappointed that the epilogue didn't address how they were doing, but I just assumed they were doing well. I finished this book with a smile on my face and a few wet tissues beside me.

The reviews on amazon were less than flattering. However, despite the awful reviews, it sounded kinda cute - so decided to read it and get it and decide for myself.

It was not by any stretch painful to read. I didn't force my way through the book and I read through it in one sitting. That said, I was frustrated at times. I can't really get into the second one and I think I'll just read the end of the third when it comes out. I think the only issue with this book is that it's being dragged out. Three books seems too much for me. Too much detail, too little plot. Anyways. I'll try to stick with it but this isn't ever going to be one of my favorite books, even if it is my favorite cover.

If you like love triangles that don't go away, reality TV like The Bachelor, or things of that nature then this book is for you.  Click here to place a hold on this book!
