SCKLS Region ILL Meeting for SLAP Libraries

Event Type: Continuing Education
Date: 5/22/2019
Start Time: 10:00 AM
End Time: 1:00 PM
Whether you are a current SLAP (System Librarians as Patrons) interlibrary loan user or would like to learn more about the benefits of interlibrary loans, please register for this meeting to explore issues, share ideas, ponder challenges and spread inspiration for personal and professional growth in the field. Plan to join Katherine Williams, SCKLS library support specialist, and Rhonda Machlan, Kansas State Library resource sharing specialist, for a fun and informative morning of sharing with the goal of improving work efficiency. Also, be prepared to learn more about the anticipated, soon to-be-released version of SHAREit.

During this morning session specifically structured for SLAP libraries, you will:
Collaborate with other ILL librarians to explore ways to make ILL more efficient and useful to your library
See demonstrations of how to customize your ILL program and tailor it to your library's needs
Enjoy a working lunch with other regional ILL staff members to discuss best practices for resource sharing

All SLAP member library staff members in the SCKLS region are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to collaborate with and learn from like-minded colleagues. Note: if you work at a KICNET library, please register for the afternoon KICNET session.

Registration is limited to 50 participants. Deadline for registration is Wednesday, May 8, 2019. Light refreshments and a lunch will be provided compliments of SCKLS, or you are invited to bring your own lunch. This will be a working lunch with facilitated discussion.
