End Time: 4:30 PM
Attention Destiny automation system users! Don’t miss this webinar training opportunity to learn how to effectively use Destiny’s powerful Collections feature. The Collections feature allows librarians and patrons to curate library materials, documents, images, and websites into an easy-to-access digital collection. This collection can be displayed in the Destiny library catalog and can be shared throughout a school or with other library patrons.
Join Lisa Sharbaugh, automation & technology service coordinator, as she shows you how to use Destiny Collections to highlight library resources on a particular topic, to engage with members of a book club, or to help students organize research projects. This training will demonstrate how to search for and utilize collections, how to create and edit collections, and how to share collections. Also, learn about the permissions that need to be set up in Destiny administration to allow librarians and patrons to use this feature.
In this focused and hands-on session, you will:
• Pinpoint the permissions needed to use the Destiny Collections feature
• Perform searches for collections in Destiny Discover
• Create, edit, and share collections
• Identify ways to use Destiny Collections to engage patrons
