Start Time: 9:00 AM
End Time: 9:45 AM
Description:
A Special System Board Meeting for the 2019 SCKLS Proposed Budget meeting will be held on Friday, August 10 from 9:00 – 9:45 a.m. at the South Central Kansas Education Service Center, 13939 Diagonal Road, Clearwater (Orion Education & Training). The purpose of the meeting is to consider and vote upon the 2019 SCKLS Proposed Budget.

In comparison to 2018, the 2019 SCKLS Proposed General Fund Budget expenditures will increase by $205,972 due primarily to a $177,153 Cash Balance Forward for Budget Year 2020. The 2019 Proposed Employee Benefits Fund expenditures will increase by $14,477.

Due to a $112,075,899 increase in the estimated assessed valuation for property within the 12 county SCKLS taxing district, no property tax increase will be required and the 2018 total mill levy rate of 1.253 will be reduced to 1.237 for 2019. Complete budget documentation is available at: https://sckls.info/ArchiveCenter/ViewFile/Item/620
